Long time no write. Well, just a quick update: I'm not moving to another account. After all, it's too much of a hassle, and I don't even draw that often (though lately I've picked it up again). I haven't started A Dance with Dragons yet, I am saving it for when it gets really cold here (Beijing in December can easily be -15 celsius), so I can get comfy under 17 blankets and sip a hot tea while I read.

Anyways. It's good to be back :)
  • Listening to: How to Train Your Dragon OST
  • Reading: Marion Zimmer Bradley- The Forest House
  • Watching: The Sopranos
  • Eating: Seaweed covered peanuts
  • Drinking: Black Tea

Moto!! I've been living here for a year now. I came with a scholarship to study Chinese at Peking University and decided to stay. Pollution sucks and there's times I want to bomb the subway, but for the most part I really like living here, it's very interesting :)

Gah! The pollution! I went on a tour of China (including Beijing) in 2001 and all my photos came out murky. Loved it, but China can be a bit scary if you can't speak the language - I'm assuming you can!

Yes, I can. Or at least, that's what I'm trying, haha. But yes, it is a scary place indeed, because no one speaks English, and they don't even share any cultural similarities that would help in communicating. My parents were terrified of going anywhere without me, for example, and I understand that because that's how I felt in my first week there!

Hi! I'm reading ADwD at the moment... Still around page 400, though. I hope to finish it before Christmas.

Have a good time in China! Good work!

Thanks,Ceci. I'm actually reading something you might enjoy, given your thesis. Are you acquainted with Marion Zimmer Bradley's work? I'm currently with House in the Forest, which is part of her Avalon series. I am enjoying it very much, I wish I had the other ones with me. But I know ADwD awaits :)
