I am so hoping that a bit of absence from each others company will help both Sansa and Sandor grow in their own way to truly see each other in a much better light (if and when Martin ever has these two meet again).
For as the saying goes "Hindsight IS always 20/20."
I love the concept, though I confess I did get a little sick of all of Sansa's praying. The shading is incerdible, especially on the Hound's side. It would be interesting to imagine Sandor ever being in a sept...

Thanks for your kind words about my work, but this is something that takes allot of dedication and a desire to show a relationship between two characters...I sit down and try and do thing like this but I always seem to misfire on my own standards and give up.
Anyway, I am trying to draw more everyday, maybe I will have some new stuff up. You and joe make me want to draw martin fanstuff, maybe I I can work something out.
I think I know what you mean. I almost never draw scenes like this one for that reason: it's hard to reflect a relationship between two characters, it's not just throwing two people together and "that's it". Sadly, that's what I normally get: people in the same sheet, but...not together. I guess that I'll eventually get better at it. I even use layers now!!!Everything is possible.
Needless to say that I'll be looking forward to see your new stuff, fanart or not. From the Asoiafverse, who do you like most?
I just want to take a moment to say this new deviantart website is pretty sweet.
Just got back from lunch with Joe...
I think that doing anything like this takes allot of practice and you need to learn what works first to even begin to make it work, but I admire that you take the time to try and learn that type of thing. I have a desire to learn and get better but I get frustrated when I am not good at something immediatley. I am working on it.
As for my fav character in martinland, I would say Arya!(so twisted, and I am most excited to see what happens next) followed closely by the Hound, for obvious awesome reasons, and I think she and he are of the same breed of awesome. Honorary mention for The Man himself Jaqen Hagar, even though he isn't really a character as much as an idea... or something. He is awesome, very hard person to draw!
Oh, boy. Yeah, Jaqen is SO difficult to draw. I've tried to do him like a thousand times, and he constantly slips through my fingers. I think you have a point when you say he is more an idea than a character. I like to think that he's Death himself; no identity, no "personality traits". He even speaks about himself in third person!. He's so cool.
Arya, hm. I like her, of course. Who wouldn't? She's there for you to like her. She's cool, intrepid and courageous. Personally, I'd love to be like that, but I relate more to Sansa. I'm certain that if I were in their situation, I'd be so fucking clueless and helpless. Sigh.
My favorite character is The Hound. I have a knack for Stannis Baratheon, and for Twyin Lannister. My favorite house would be the Greyjoys, and the Martells. Oh, and eternal hate for the Freys.
I really want to do Jaqen, I have an idea, to not really do him but kind of have him there with arya. Its floating in my head I may actually get it on paper at some point. A man will try.
Arya is cool and I think very likable but, I REALLY like her. Something about being this twisted nameless child killer... I mean, its sick but also incredibly interesting, I am amazed at how martin slowly over 4 books moved her perfectly to the a candidate for a faceless man.
Sansa, she grows on me but I find little to relate with her. Actually in terms of me relating to a character its hard for me to find someone. Jon snow is too perfect in his character for me to quite relate with him but he is obviously close. In terms of character I consider him the control, consistently good.
In allot of ways I think I relate the most with Tyrion, but not fully. I certainly enjoy his and arya's chapters the most. The way he thinks, the way he is constantly trying to impress people even though he tries to tell himself that he is above that typ of thinking and doesn't need to.
The Hound is great I can't wait to see what happens next with him. BTW if you didnt catch it I drew Victarion Greyjoy [link]
anyway have a good one, I'm seeing the dark night for the third time tonight.
Hey, how was the Dark Knight for the third time? Joe says it's awesome. I can't wait to see it, but right now they must be dubbing it or something, because it's released here the 13th of August. Same with Hellboy: we don't get it until September. Sigh. I love Hellboy, it's among my fav superheros. But no one overshadows Batman, he's the best.
I think you're right about Tyrion's inner conflict. It's true, he seeks people's admiration, even when he knows that he should expect nothing but reject or pity. That's what makes him very interesting. He's seen himself forced to develop his intelligence and his wit in order to compensate for his looks, he is very powerful and crafty in that sense. He could easily finish someone off. Yet...he also has ethics that make it impossible for him to abuse people as he has been abused. For me, he's the most interesting Lannister, along with Twyin. And Jaime post-bye bye hand is growing more and more awesome, too. Hsving his hand cut is definitely the best that could happen to him. As a character. Mm, Kevan is nice, too.
I've had an idea for a Jaqen. If I can get anything close to what I have in mind, it could be nice.
Jaja no te pego, no te pego. SOLO TE MATO!! muahaha!
This is really an awesome concept, the idea of showing the pair of them far but close in spirit, or at least in prayers... Let's hope that there's some future waiting for them, and pray the Mother to protect them!
Thank you. In fact, I am doing separate portraits of the Seven Gods. I've started, of course, with the easy ones: I've finished the Maiden and The Mother so far, and I'm about to finish the Crone. I know both the Stranger, and the Smith, will give me hell.
Right away! I'm glad you like it. I came up with the idea after reading a oneshot you did once for the san/san comm, about Sansa receiving the visit of a Brother right before her wedding to the Heir. I was thinking that she must have thought of the Hound often in the Eerie, and that she surely prayed for him. And Sandor...well, I doubt he prayed for anyone, but I'm sure he thought of her. Atleast we know he does whenever he gets drunk.
Felicidades, primer comment! Ojalá que Martin te oiga. Yo no me creo que El Perro esté muerto. No puedo. No quiero.
